Driver Training

Our Heathrow Driver Training course will provide you with the knowledge required to safely use the Airside Road System around Heathrow Airport.  

The course is broken down into the following parts: 

  1. Medical  
  1. Theory Input (classroom based) – This includes a presentation and video 
  1. Airport Familiarisation Tour (for new trainees) 
  1. Online Hazard Perception Test 
  1. Online Theory Test 

The presentation will cover: 

  • Regulatory & Legal requirements 
  • Requirements of your Airside Driving Permit (ADP) 
  • Airside Critical Part and Non-Critical Part 
  • Airside traffic rules 
  • Unique Airport Vehicles 
  • Safe Attitudes 
  • Accident & Incident Reporting 
  • Airside Penalty Points 
  • Foreign Object Debris 
  • Environmental Pledge 
  • The 5 Golden Rules 

Drivers will receive a driver permit as soon as they have passed the computer-based exam. Permits are valid for 3 years.
